so i have a 2004 gt making about 270 hp/300 tq my stock clutch is starting to slip with 80,000 miles on it, and my throw out bearing is squealing... so i'm looking to get a nice clutch that will handle that power i have now plus a 100 nx wet shot in the spring, so i narrowed it down between a centerforce dual friction, and a mcleod kelvar disk? What is anyones opinions experience with them both?

I just got my centerforce DF clutch put in like 3 weeks ago , loving it . Easy to press like hot knife on butter. I havn't drove crazy yet cause it suggest that I drive like old lady for at least 450-500 miles. After that I will drive like mad man

centerforce DF all the way. just got mine installed 2 days ago and it f$%&king rocks. havent beat on it yet though gota wait 400 more miles. If you do a search you will find a few bad things about mcleod. not saying they are bad clutches but I have heard nothing but good things about centerforce

I had a McLeod and it never worked correctly. I now have a Centerforce and couldn't be happier.

The clutch effort is less on the Centerforce too.

I love my Centerforce DF. Like everyone else said, it's very light, but grabs hard as hell when you need it to.

I have done three clutch jobs in my life (all 3 jobs were different cars) and all of them got Centerforce clutches. I will never ever use another brand.

Thanks for all the replies, i'm sure i'll probably get a centerforce it is after all cheaper than the mcleod. btw lvmustanggt what kind of dyno did you dyno at at what temp and humidity? at the time I dynoed I only had a x pipe and exhaust, and dynoed at 255hp/290tq and it was also on 107 degree day with 60% humidity, and it was in st louis so i'm not exactly sure the elevation... just curious i used a dyno jet were you on a mustang dyno? I always had been kinda lucky getting freaks that do well though...

Before cams I had off-road h-pipe made 265rwhp and 302 torque . After cams I made 293rwhp and 300 torque at around 110 degree day . Now I got upr cats x-pipe and making only 277rwhp and 290 torque
I lost 16rwhp so I know something is not right.
I have a air leak somewhere but cannot pin point it . Whistle like crazy around 2000rpm and up. I have checked everything and vacuum line but looks to be good. I am thinking my intake Manifolds is cracked somewhere, I am going to one local guy here in vegas who offer me his help. hope is can pinpoint my problem today.

Both dyno on dyno jet

+1 on the Centerforce DF. It ran me around 325-350m but well worth it. I had one in my old F150, 300 I6, 5spd on 38's and it performed PERFECTLY. I will get one when i need a new one in my Stang.
