Today I bought the bright tangerine GT I posted about in some other thread. It's ****ing awesome. I got it for $3,500. It had 18" Saleens on it, but for $3,500 the guy's wife was like put the crappy wheels on it. I was like YES, I like the GT4's better on it. :D No idea why it has a cobra emblem on the front... I'm gonna clean it up this weekend so I'll post billions of photos later. Until then, check it out:

Looks great! And appears to be very clean.

Definitely take the Cobra off.

thanks! it definitely needs some serious tlc, but nothing major. it has tons of stickers on it, the right door panel needs to be replaced, i doubt the motor has been cleaned since the guy bought it, it's apparently had the most streaky wax job ever and it has the most ghetto battery kill switch thing on it, other than that it's not too bad. the cobra is coming off, it might be ponyless for a while, but still better than rolling fobra style. the guy i bought it from was like ponies are for v6s, it's too ba for that. i was like no.

it's definitely my project for the next couple of months, but it will be at mustang week next year. it will. that is my goal.

Cool deal. I just detailed my car this past week/weekend. Interior, exterior, and underhood. Clay bar, couple of polishes, and one coat of wax (one more to come in a couple of weeks) on the paint. It is unbelievable just how much better you can make your car look with a little elbow grease and the right materials. It rained here today, and the water beads on the roof....I need to get a good picture of that. It is crazy looking.

I definitely want to come down to beach week. I've made several friends though our drag racing club here at State that have gone before, and they say it is amazing.

That's f'n pimp olred... nice find!!! Are you going to do some regular maintenance? I'd suggest the following: oil change, radiator flush, trans fluid change, rear diff service, and new plugs. Once you're done with the maintenance do the following in the order posted below:

Springs, shocks/struts, FLSFC's, LCA's, PI intake, 3.73/4.10's, and cams

GO! Seriously, if you like Mustangs, you will love it. I've only gone one year, and that was in '09. But my bff lives in Myrtle Beach, so we can go all week and stay with her for free now. :D

Thanks! I'm planning to do some maintenance this weekend. I doubt anything has been done to it since the guy before me bought it, he said he's just gotten into cars and didn't seem to know much.

Nice find. Definitely needs to be lowered ASAP
YES. It needs some stuff that's a bit more important done first, but maybe by February...

Nice car, what transmission does the car have and what color interior? Cloth or Leather?
Thanks. It has complete black leather interior, it looks so awesome.

The car is definitely a project, but I feel like it has more potential than my old car lol.

Do you live in Myrtle Beach by chance...? SC? I live in Myrtle, if you're in the area or even in state there's a couple of groups you should check out.

Looks pretty clean from the pictures, I dig the color...:nice:

Thanks! I actually don't live in Myrtle Beach, but about 2 hours away. I'd love to know more about the groups, if you wanna send me a PM.

I have touched anything since I bought it, so here's pictures of it;

I'm about to start cleaning it now and deghettofying it, so I'll post pictures of it after. It drives so nice. It's got 410 gears, so it took me a little while to get used to them. My friend had 410's in his 01 cobra and he hated them and keeps telling me I'll wanna put the stock ones back in, but I really like them. I do about 90mph on the interstate, which is actually about 60mph lol. I don't mind that it doesn't really have much power after 70, I don't need to go fast, so I'd rather have it sound good lol.

eta; i couldn't tell b/c the ricey monster knob, but the car has a short throw shifter which is cool. but at some point, someone thought it'd be a good idea to glue the knob and the boot to the shifter. also, apparently at one point the car lived in alabama lol.
