My friend was at it today...i'm sure he'll say something about the nakedness if any.

Yeah, I had forgotten about the circle track. I kinda wondered where they were having all the space to do the stuff they were talking about.

A friend called me and told me my other friend was going to the tour today...she said it was at the track...I was like "WTF? No...why?" Cause I'd think Central Florida Fairgrounds would be a better place...

well...ill be the second to confirm the nakedness. i drove down to the track and it was closed, and i saw a BUNCH of people everywhere by the circle track. so we went and parked, and walked upto the fences. eventually we snuck around and got in, and yes...plenty of hot, naked (did i mention drunk also?) chicks, everywhere. we eventually got kicked out for not having the little wrist band thingy (i just said i lost it, they didnt go for it)...but yea, it was worth it for the hour of nudity.:nice: :jester: :D

got a question for you SVO guys (erich). the turbo that comes on the svo is a garrett t3 right? if its not, what is it, and how much boost can they produce?

im really wanting a TT setup, and i dont have 6k to drop for a kit...so i figure, get me a pair of good turbos, and figure out the rest as i go. i need something major to get this overweight vert running. :jester:

Yes T3...a pair of them is a good start for a TT setup.

SVOs(don't touch them, I will jump you :) )
Thunderbird Turbocoupes before 1987 have them
Merkurs have them
Mercury Cougars(XR7 model) before 1987 have them.

well i know the T3's are popular turbo's...alot of the import guys use em also. ive been thinking of some nitrous, because i already have most of the parts...but ive always wanted to run a TT setup, so maybe ill take a trip to some junkyards to see if i can find any of the above mentioned cars.:jester:

report back on the prices...

Yeah, the import guys like the T3 cause its the perfect size for their littie bitty motors...

And their size makes it extremely easy for (reletively) big motors like ours to spool them up.

Too easy sometimes...the smaller ones(turbos) will max out quicker and start heating up and such when at high rpm...then its time to upgrade to a T4 compressor with a T3 turbine...more CFMs, with still good spool :)

As I am sitting here typing, there is an '03 Cobra sitting not two houses down from me. Silver, convertable. And what's even cooler is that it has Modern Mustangs of Tampa Bay decals on it. :D

hey droptop, I saw you run once last night and then you disappeared...what happened

well, i got there at 10:45 and was waiting in the staging lanes till like 12:30 than i got to run...after that i said **** it im not waiting another hour and a half to run again...so i got into the "fast" lanes behind Lugo's car, and ran again.

even with my big d/r's on there, i was still spinning all over the track in second and third. track was absolute ****, the lanes were so busy it wasnt even worth 5 dollars, much less $15. so i just left after that, picked on a few imports on the way home...and went to sleep. dissapointing night to say the least, wont catch me out there for that event again.

oh and i think i saw untouchable out there with her red z28, but i wasnt sure so i didnt say anything. not too bad for a stock z :nice:

well, i was at a friend of mines shop yesterday (saturday) mouting my drag radials, and was looking around the police impound for any cars with turbo's on em. i found a car that has a turbo on it, on the back it says "Conquest" with "Imported for Chrysler" under that. I forget the name of the car, but i did pop the hood and the turbo still looks to be in good condition. It's not that big (doesnt look like a T3) so i dont know if it would be worth taking off or not? got any idea what kind/size turbo this is? i can have it for free, but i dont wanna go thru all the hassle of taking it off if its going to pump a whole 1psi of boost. so, should i keep looking...or pull this one off and give it a try?

You did, she said she was behind you for that first run...she went up against a pretty much stock(I assume) white GT and left it 2-3 cars lengths.

Skip the Conquest...it has a smaller turbo...its a Mitsubishi favorite...to toss :) I think its a TD03 or some small crap.
