Melbourne area stangs

so how was the track, white? truck run any better? sorry i didnt make it out there, im kinda pressed for cash this week...and i was also mid-way through removing my front sway bar, so i just decided to wait till friday. the front end lifts up alot more than i thought it would!! i think with some 4-banger springs up there i would be sure to hook with slicks. right now its raising a good 3-4 inches, and i havent moved the battery to the rear yet.

also, im goin to go grab that turbo tomorrow, is there anything else i should take off the car along with it? i can have pretty much anything off of it...so should i grab the manifold, or anything else?

Look for the intercooler. They are very popular...either give it to me or sell it on Ebay.

I'll see if I can make it over. We are cancelling our Hooters meetings and are going to change them to the Winghouse on 441. Hooters is just not working with us lately.

If you pull the intercooler and its in good shape I'll buy it off of you.

I have been looking for a front mount intercooler for my RX-7.

Well y'all, it was bound to happen. Brain was out at the compound last night (like I told him not to do) going 120. He ran out of road, slammed on the brakes, and went into a ditch at 100 mph. Went through heavy brush, bushes, things like that. A friend with a big chevy truck (350 ci engine) tried to pull Brains car out, and COULDN'T DO IT. It's tires were spinning and it was actually moving sideways. They had to call a tow truck to pull it out. Luckily for Brian, the only damage was some chipping of the paint on the chin, the lower chin spoiler got ripped off, one of the exaust tubes came un-hooked, and there was a minor, 6 inch scratch down the right side of the car. Brian is one lucky SOB, I'll tell ya that. Unfortenately, however, the altezzas survived the incident. :(

Tell him to get those damn Alteezas off of his car and crap like this will stop happening to him. We all know the big guy is trying to remove his car from the earth.

Glad to hear he is o.k. As I read it I was afradi you were gonna say he had to be scraped off of the dash board. He is VERY lucky.

That's exactly what I told him. People should be picking up pieces of him still. Thankfully he didn't hit a tree or anything, or he would be. It was amazing that his car was still in pretty good condition.

well guys...as of now the whole deal with the turbo fell thru. I went up there to get it off that conquest, and noticed they had two earlier model Supra's (the ones that look like wedges of cheese) in the back of the lot. Both were turbo! I went and asked the guy I know about the Supra's, and he said that another guy that worked there was getting titles for both...and just decided the day before to get the title for the conquest!@#$!   so, unless something falls thru with that guy getting the titles...im screwed:rolleyes: :( I'm going back in acouple days to check up on them, so ill let you guys know for sure then.

as to the intercooler, maybe im blind...but i didnt see one on any of those cars? there was one on a Turbo MR2, but the turbo had already been removed. If you want the one off the MR2, just let me know. It might need alittle reconditioning on the outside, but other than that it looks like its perfectly fine.

Well my week has been quite interesting. I brought my convertible over to Lamotta performance to get the linkage problem fixed and get a dyno tune. Well they got the linkage problem fixed so it was time for the dyno tune. It was putting out around 300rwhp which is damn good for an AOD with a 3500 converter. Now here comes the problems. The first one is that I am running lean with even my 30lb injectors which makes no sense because they should be enough. On to the next and the real piss me off problem. My PA Super Comp AOD has already decided to take a crap on me and its pretty screwed up. So much for the 800hp rating, I only put out half that and I break this $2,300 POS. There must be some serious flaw in the building of this tranny. Jay and Jake are going to look at it one more time before I will take it home. I am hoping for the best but with my luck I know I am screwed and I will have to take the AOD out and ship it back to them.
At this point I am really pissed off, should of went with a damn TKO or 6 speed. Too late now though, I am stuck with this crap
