What is he using for an intake manifold?

He's using a ported upper (Hamilton-Clark) and a custom lower. Don't even ask how much that was. Could have bought a S/C for what he dished out. Still, that car is one bad @ss ride. I don't know if I'd give up a testicle for it, but I'd sure as hell lease one out.

That sucks man, I really don't know what certain part is screwed up in your tranny. I have only had my T5 in my hatchback apart once so I am really no expert with them right now. I would personally talk to Jay over at Lamottas and tell him your exact problems. He was able to diagnose a bent clutch fork for me just by telling him the symptoms of the concern.

Well I am now going with Tremec TKO conversion. I've had enough of this. I already talked to Summit and my hammer shifter is going back on Tuesday. I am talking to the company where I bought my tranny and converter from tomorrow also. All I know is I better get a refunded all my money.

yea i was planning on giving lamotta a call...but my dads on his way over to take a look at it with me. so if we cant get anywhere (maybe shift linkage or somethin, i dunno) then off to lamotta it goes. goin to be great fun drivin in traffic in 3rd gear:shock:

you considered the T-56? i dont know how much more it is than a TKO, but if its not that much...might want to consider it? not saying the TKO isnt a good tranny, but it doesnt get much better than that t56

I thought I had it bad when I only had first and second, at least I could drop down to first when coming to a stop. But only having third, that would make for some crazy bogging getting off the line.

I was thinking about the T-56, I just need something really strong for when I start to push some real power through this car. I don't know if they are as strong as a TKO but the 6th gear would come in handy with me having 4.10s in the rear. I think D&D Performance has them for $1995 while they have the TKO for $1349. I have $3100 to put into this swap so if I can swing the T-56 and its as strong as the TKO I will probably go with one.

heheh...bogging isnt the word. i could rev. to 5, drop the clutch...and still stall. heheeheh. not to mention when i got home, trying to get up on ramps. that made for some burnt crispy clutch...lemme tell yah.

anyway, from what ive heard...the t56 was as strong, if not stronger than the tko. maybe im wrong, but ive heard that more than once. does the bellhousing come w/ the tranny for those prices, or is it extra?

Those are without bell housing prices.
Well after round 1, I have not made any ground. Talked to Performance Automatic today. I said I didn't want it anymore, they then say they will fix it for free if I take it out again and ship it back up. I say I don't want it again, they say how about a straight up trade on a C4, I say I like having an overdrive and that will not work with my 4.10s at all. I say I just don't want it anymore and I want a refund, they say call back tomorrow morning because they have to discuss this with the el presidente of the company. Well I am ready for more rounds myself if I don't hear the words refund tomorrow.

Somebody needs to pay for my converter now being screwed up after the tranny gave out and sent tons a little metal shaiving in my tranny fluid which then circulates to the converter. So now I have a PI $600+ converter that has shavings in it and the only way to clean it is to take it apart. I'm ready for some rounds with this one also.

Well we struck a deal. PA is going to pick up their tranny from my work on monday. I am losing a little bit of money for restocking but in the long run it will be cheaper than that tranny breaking on me again when it goes out of warranty. I am getting the converter all cleaned out and fixed for free by PI, now I just got to find somebody who wants to buy it.
Its now time for the TKO conversion to start, hopefully it will be on the road by next weekend and running stronger than ever :D

yeah, you're late by about 41 minutes, but hey, better late then never is right! thanks man:nice: oh, and hows the tranny comin along??

well...as of now, its not. heheh i took a day off from screwin with it. as of now, the whole center console and drivers dash/instrument cluster is off. along with the tranny, im going to do the fog light rewire, install a fuel cut-off switch, ignition cut off switch, and rewire my ignition (was wired kinda screwy). i got wires everywhere under my hood, so im goin to clean em up alittle...and see if i can get rid of some of them. other than that, im thinking of maybe just letting the car sit until i get the TT setup put in. it needs a new radiator anyway (griffin here i come)...and a few other things.

so im thinkin...get all the TT parts together...and save up for the bigger injectors/fuel pump/inline. friend of mine said 12psi should put me around 450+ to the wheels, which works for me right now. i cant go much higher than that with my hyperneutic (sp) crap pistons and compression anyway, so...until i start doing internal work, 12/14psi is my limit. throw it all on there, and have it come back a completely different car  :jester:

Hey, I gave you happy b-day cheers earlier. If I'd known you wanted them online, I would have spanked you while all the Hooter's girls watched and had Erich take pics. Then I would have had the pics posted. Be thankful for that which you DIDN'T get. :D ;)
