The fan was wired to a temp switch, not tied in with the a/c unit whatsoever. I didn't do the wiring job. It was wired to run 24/7 when I FIRST got the car, before Gene re-wired it.
And about the condenser...it's mounted on the front side, as in NOT on the engine side of the radiator right? Just for reference. Thanks for the info man...I was wondering about that.

Electric fans shoud NEVER be wired in to run all the time. Not only does that defeat the purpose of having one, but it creates excessive wear on the fan motor. Sounds to me like someone either did not give a crap about doing a job correctly or doesn't have a clue how an electric fan system is supposed to operate.

Even so, with the fan running constantly you should not have had an overheating situation and the A/C should have worked. If these problems existed then whoever put the fan in wired it wrong and installed the incorrect size.

I hope everything works well with your thermostatic clutch fan now.

Well the overheating happened because the fusible link supplying power to the fan motor not only burned out, but MELTED...the fan had no power and died without me realizing it, so it overheated once I got it off the interstate and hit stop-and-go.

The previous owner was an idiot, so..... By the way, the fan is fairly small....looks like it was meant for a 6 cylinder. And the new fan isn't on a thermostatic clutch...it's one of those flexfans. Feels like it's sucking horsepower at lower rpms but once it picks up that disappears. Everyone tells me "you'll never feel it"....well I have a very sensitive ass.....

Eric, does it have power windows and locks? If so, I'd like the driver's side armrest if it's in good shape. Mine has come apart and most of the foam has fallen out.

sure did. i was not impressed with the way we stood around till almost 1030 before he looked at the car the first time(appointment was for 9). then he didnt have the chip, told us to come back at 1pm. came back at 1 still didnt ahve the chip. wait for like another hour, and mysteriously the chip appeared. he sent us to superchips to have them program it. went back to lamotta's, found out they had put the wrong program in it. went back to superchips to get it reburned. got back the second time, they had their shop bullitt on the dyno for more then an hour. when all was said and done, it was probably around 6 or so when we left to go eat. to me personally, that is not good customer service at all

So anyway, I got into Manhatten bagels on Wickham and some guys start talking to me about my car. They say they like and stuff then one guy says its loud. So I say mine is nothing comapred to most including Adams. I explain that Adams is the yellow one with the white hood. They all say ya We know that car it pushing over 500hp runs 9s blah, blah, blah.

I know Adam is into his car, Is he really pushing 500hp?

What do you know? Why don't you let me vouch for my own car huh? How are you gonna go and say what my car has and what it runs in the quarter when you don't even know. Have you ever went to the track amd seen me run? Have you ever ran your car? I think not, so before you go answering a question about my car why don't you let the person that it is about address it or stop being a baby and bring that thing to the track!

Oh and the answer to the other guys question
HP- was dynoed untuned at 278 rwhp, and my fastest time was 13.3 pre 4.10's and traction-lok rebuild. Should be high 12's now.

D19? What color is your stang and your name?
