Finally got new struts (cheepo's) and that made a nice difference over the worn out 90/10's I had. Plus I just finished putting my new sway bar on up front. Whadda difference. I hope to be racing with you guys soon down there. I need a change when it comes to racing. Auto-x is perfect! :)

Be good to see you back. Can't wait to see you're car in action out there. Should be cool. :D

Hey Guys, i'm back .... again i'm too lazy to check to see what i missed. Unless something important was said ( i doubt it :D, but i never know) ... it's great to finally be back in rockledge (or just in brevard county) .... the competition was fun, there were so many people there (most from Miami, Miami guys are very good looking, all sorts of cubans and puerto ricans):hail2: :D

oh yeah i got 3rd in related technical math, and i got 3rd in my Job Interview competition. Which is cool, one of 3 people who placed in 2 events. And this is in the whole state of florida. So i'm happy. That and i got a new teddy bear. I got it from Build A Bear, i made my own teddy bear. it moos, i named it Mookie. It's so cute :D Anyway, i'm outta here. i have so much make up work and sleep to catch up on.

Hey baglock...were you out driving over the the Eau Gallie Causway about 8:00 or so? I was out jogging the bridge and I saw a white, wingless stang, sounded like it had exhaust work done...just wondering if it was you. It was too dark for me to tell.

Only if he's out racing it at high speeds, like Baglock will, will justify that wing. Otherwise, it's just stupid, cause he's never going to be driving fast enough or taking corners hard enough (especially a 1mm between the wheels and the wheel well) for it to really help him.

At what speed do you need a big wing. I am thinking over 120 mph --- yes -- no????

ok baglock, i went and played on the highway tonight, and it was fun to say the least! ok now to the important part, i dont know exactly what speed i was going(speedo only goes to 85 and it was well past that), but my car topped at 5000 rpms and kinda bounced back alittle and thats when i let off! if i had to guess speeds, i would say between 90 and 95, i dont know exactly, but best guess maybe like 92 or 93! i hope that info helps, cus i want to go talk to TJ tomorrow about doing the gears! :D  :D

well hes been talking about open track racing so im assuming he might reach such speeds! but once again its his car, he can do as he pleases:shrug: :bs:

you misunderstand my statement/question. At what speed do you aerodynamically need the downforce from a wing??

My RX-7 is very stable all the way to 150 mph - I havent been faster than that yet.

I would consider a front air dam first keep the air from under the car.

My $0.02

Really though I wonder at what speed you need addtional downforce.

my bad i miss understood what you were asking! anyway that is a good question, and i guess it all depends on the aerodymanics of the car! but it is a very good question to know!

Well, if it's going to wait till after all that other stuff is done, looks like it'll never happen. :D

You sir, may politely go play a game I like to call hide and go f*** yourself.  ;)

But the quick release...or even a slow release...would be good. Cause I understand needing it for open tracking, but it's going to look really ricey just out driving it around for sure. They might pick you up on radar at Patrick and dispatch some A-10s to destroy it, thinking its a tank or something. :p :D

I dunno. Yes it would look a little (well, a lot) ricey for the street, but it's not like it's a V6. And if I put in that motor first, I'd have the power to back it up. regardless of whether somebody liked it or not, it definately would not be just another piece of crap that was trying to look fast.

Nope. I haven't been over to the mainland since last week.

A wing works effectively between 70 and 120 on most vehicles...just random knowledge.

A 70s T/A had a small spolier that produced 10 pounds of downforce at 100 MPH which caused the nose of the car to become light at such speeds and actually(as you would think) negatively effected driving :D

Porsche's active Spoliers kick in around 70MPH. The GT-90 in Need For Speed 2 I believe kicked in around 80 or so. The McLaren F1 actually uses a small active spolier for aiding in control under braking.
