Bassani is a straight through which helps with mid to high end power and are typically mated to an X pipe, which also work to build mid-high end power. Chambered mufflers (like flows) will work with the H pipe to build low end torque. Straight throughs will work with H-pipes but in my opinion, it's better to decide on HP or TQ and stick with it.
As far as what is needed, you really don't need to buy everything seperately. When you buy a cat-back, it includes everything. You basically just unbolt the stock muffler/tail-pipe assembly an bolt the new system up in its place. It's the same for the crossover tube. You unbolt the crossover tube/cat assembly and bolt the new stuff up.
TJ can get whatever you want. He's a Bassani dealer, but he also installs flows and Dynomax and probably everything else. His prices are average for a race shop. You can get stuff cheaper on the web or mailorder, but you can't go ***** at the web when somethings wrong or you need a little help with something. I could go other places and get stuff cheaper, but I like to support local speed shops as it keeps me in the know on what's happening locally.
