Melbourne area stangs

Well thanks man... I've grounded myself for now basically. Can't afford the gas to go out. Last resort, I can get re-hired at Burger King, but god I hope it doesnt come to that. That was my job before last and I have a year and 6 months experience there.... Or maybe Irwin Research..... Hello, my name is Brooks and I'm calling on behalf of Irwin Research..would you care to take a brief survey over the telephone?

I can do that. ;)

Have you considered going back to school and learning a skilled trade that is in demand? I could probably hook you up with a part time job that paid from 7.50 - 9.00 to start and could lead to 25K/year or more within 2 years. You would have to be attending school to get the job though.

Well I got my convertible back from Lamotta today after the dyno tune and getting my Griggs SFC welded in. I should not of waited so long to get subframe connectors put on my car, the car feels a hundred percent stiffer and I am getting better traction even with the increase of 100+rwhp over my old combo.
The car hauls some serious balls, really sets you back in the seat, I just need to find a place to get on it through all gears. The numbers are in my sig and Jake said if I wanted to get serious at the track to fill it up with some race gas, put the boost retard to 0, and I should put out another 40+rwhp.

Sounds sweet man! What did it put down?

Oh, and what's Jake want to weld on some SFC's?

I haven't seen your car yet..we'll have to meet up at one of the mmorl meetings or at the track sometime so I can drool on it! :worship: :nice:

I saw that car up at Black's before the guy bought it. I don't know about those rims, look kinda, i dunno...odd. But still a sweet car. What was he getting done to it? From what I remember it was pretty stock except for exhaust and, maybe a power pipe (i might be confusing it with the true blue '03 they had up there...and omg was that thing sweet:worship: :worship: :worship: ).

What I would do... :jaw:

Performance brakes

You don't want any slotted or drilled brake rotors. They do nothing to help you stop better and will warp just as fast if not faster. Forget all the stuff about releasing gasses from pads and more surface area for cooling. For your car, they're just for looks. The Fox rotors are always going to warp because of the integrated hub design. Quality parts store rotors are the best potion. Just torque your lugs evenly and don't point a garden hose at your hot rotors and they'll last plenty of years. If it happens again, your only real option is going to 5-lug. Those rotors and hubs are a better design and will last longer.

On edit -- looks like you want shorter stopping distances. Better pads will help. I use AutoZone Performance Friction for $30. Some people like the Z-rated ones for $50 but I didn't feel the need. Put some fresh brake fluid in there. There's not much else that's worth spending money on for 4-lug to stop better. I'd save your money for a 5-lug conversion.

Dan is Adam also running a bassni x-pipe? All I know is that me and you got the flowmasters on are cars with the x-pipe and they sound the same.I guess flows just dont like that pipe when I hear other people with x-pipes and dont sound like ares.Yes I got the x-pipe in today. No check light yet.I just hate the high pitch raspy sound that the flowmasters make now. Those are gonna go here real soon.

Hey, man. Since I won't be working Wednesday nights at Doubles anymore, and neither will one of the other girls, I believe Carlos may be looking to hire a new hand to help out during the day or evening. You may want to swing by sometime during the day, before 3pm to inquire if you're interested. And you're a car guy, you should mention that also. ( brownie points ):nice:

Dave did you tell them what we was talking about at TJ's?

I don't remember, dude. Carlos pulled me in his office, closed the door and gave me a pep/kick in the ass- talk, so after that , things were cool. He mentioned "rewarding" me for my amount of progress and reliability tho.

Whatever that means.

Yeah, but I'm damn clumsy and have no memory..not good for a waiter type position! Plus Doubles is a little too far for me to drive every other day to work...it's probably 20-25 minute drive each way.. I'm hoping for something closer to home.. Thanks though dude!

You don't actually wait on people. The only thing you have to remember is what crap goes on which sandwich, and you get the hang of that after a couple days... Just thought I'd mention it.
