A have a specific question I do not see answered elsewhere. Are the stock 5.0 heater tubes (1991) on the intake the same as the ones for a (1996) Explorer intake? If not, will the 5.0 ones work with some modifications, and what are those modifications? Or should I find the explorer piece to go with my intake?

Thanks for the advice

What does "Iirc" stand for? I must not speak text short hand that well.

Thanks for the advice on the parts interchange! The local salvage yard gets a little grumpy about stuff like this.

If I Remember Correctly (iirc).
The explorer coolant tube will have slightly different bends at the rear .
The stock 91 5.0 coolant tube SHOULD bolt up fine to the lower intake.
I know for a fact the 94-95 5.0 coolant tube fits perfectly.

I remember the heater tubes on the 96 intake I pulled being the same as the SN heater tubes. That was a while ago though. I could be mistaken. Either way, they are on my car right now and I have not had any issues.

worst case is you will need to remove a little length from the Exporer tubes - I'm running an Explorer set on mine now.
