I am having problesm using the meziere wp311 water pump on my car.
http://meziere.com/index.php?pgName=wp311

Has anyone seen this pump used on a 1965 mustang. I cant get the alternator to bolt up. Here is the email i sent their tech office explaining the problem.

I have purchased the electric water pump model wp311. The pump fits great however i can not figure out a way to use the alternator with the pump. I am using this on a 1965 ford mustang with a 289. The alt brackets are made to bolt onto the water pump however there are no holes for them and the bolts arnte near long enough to try and use the holes. Was this pump not designed for this vehicle. Id love to use the pump; however, an elec. pump wont work without an alt making the elec.

you might try swapping the alternator to the other side of the engine, or find a late model alternator bracket and use that.

That kit probably would have been fine. However i went with a march pulley kit. Had all the brackets and alt, crank, and tensioner pulley to convert it to serpentine. Plus its all polished aluminum. Hopefully this works good. Might have to bend the dipstick a little.

i was going to mention the kit from summit, i picked one up from their clearence rack, only to find one of the holes was off by about an inch, (youll have that with a 351, duh...)i paid 55.00, i think, but even at 110.00, its a nice setup...
