Meziere or CSI electric water pump for weekend street drivn?

Are these ok to use on the street for weekend driving only? I have a choice between the Meziere 100 series, or the CSI electric water pumps. The mezeire costs more. Leaning toward the CSI because it comes with the back plate and flows 35-37 gpm. Anyone have any experience with these for street driving? will it perform any better than a mechanical?

hey whats up man, well surely you not going to an electric water pump, how you going to keep your power steering ? hey gopher could i get a pic of your belt setup i'm trying to figure out what to do about the water pump turning backwards if its setup like the 5.0 belt do you know if the newer 460 belt setup is serpintine. thanks !

I believe the Meziere might encorporate a "free" pulley allowing the belt to be ran like stock instead of having to reroute it.

Not sure of your setup but either pump will do you fine. I run a CSI on my weekend cruiser and have not had a problem in the last 4 years its been on there.

I have custom brackets from work that i will fab up to make it work. Heres what it looks like right now (dirty as hell) with the 5.0 thunderbird water pump pulley on there for standard rotation. I gotta come up with a different routing now that im going with the CSI pump:

Thanks man thats a neat setup, you don't have much belt wrap around the water pump, knowing my luck it would slip haha ! hey if you get something fabed up with power steering let me know i wouldn't mind running an electric water pump......... thanks again sorry to hijack your post

Thx for the replies guys, the meziere 300 series looks good but its out of my prcie range at $464, so im going with the CSI water pump.

I've talked to lots of people about this pump and i've heard nothing but good especially on my friend's 1964 chevy cheetah that he recently sold, CSI pump, all street miles, 544hp SBC, he loved the pump and no problems.

Oh and this coupled with the new 4" cowl instead of the 6" is gonna make me want to drive it in the snow lol.....
