I probably would have ended up with an MGW too if I hadn't got such a good deal on the Pro 5.0--I am glad I got it though as I love it!

What everyoe else said and more about the MGW. I've shifted with all the competitors and MGW rules. Like someone else said, if you do any drag racing at WOT, you'll appreciate having it. With the adjustments you can make to it, third gear speed shifting is not so scary anymore........

Most people love the MGW...but I can't see myself spending $200 just for a short throw

Its $180 for the MGW and aren't ALL other short shifters $150??? Its worth every penny more, even if it was $50+ more

I got an MGW to replace a Pro 5.0 shifter and it was as noticeable as replacing the stocker with the Pro 5.0. If for no other reason get it because you can put the handle in any position you want. My 5th gear is now where 3rd used to be. Had it a year and never regretted it one day.

Had one in my 89. If the install wasn't such a PITA (damn fox interior) I'd put one in my 93 in a heartbeat.

Get an MGW. I've read some people say something like it's way to hard to shift but it's not! For example, shifting from 4th to 5th, you just lean it over a tad and it goes right in. It's NOT like a stock shifter. I've had mine for a couple of days now and I wish I would have had one from the day I bought my car. Shifting is so precise! You feel it click into place when you go from one gear to the next and I love that. It's the way it should be. Just my two cents.
