MGW new Short Throw Shifter?

Seems they are the rage at a few other forums

Its getting a lot of great reviews and claims to be the shortest shifter out.

well, I could use a shorter shift... I chopped my Pro 5.0 to make it shorter... and I still want more

I'll keep my steeda I don't like that lock washer set-up seems like a weak point to me.

I'll tell you what, i'm completely sold on it... it basically has all the pros of every shifter out there and none of the cons, can't wait to buy one.

Shortest throws, almost quiet as stock, you can rotate the handle, and people have been buying it and hammering the hell out of it and it seems extremely solid. MGW is known for quality.

Hell, if i got it, i wouldn't put the lock washer and handle on. I would just get an adapter and screw the knob to the shaft to keep it really short.

well, I agree w/ Dark... I'd just screw the knob on that post w/o the lever thingy... and personally, I don't like all that "adjustable" crap I just like stuff that's made one way, and either you love it, or hate it I'm just stuck in my sinicism

well, I chopped the handle of my pro 5.0 to make it shorter... and it's still long for me... but then again, I'm kinda hardcore when it comes to my drivetrain in my mustang

-so no, I don't think it'd be too short for me, but others, almost definetly yes...

after further review... I've decided that unless two things happen, I won't be buying this shifter, sadly, because I really want it

-1) if the shifter handle was angled... so it's like the pro 5.0 that I am currently using... I can't stand those that the shifter is straight up and down...

-2) (optional) if I can screw the shifter knob directly onto that stainless post housing... some sort of mod would do nicely.

-these are just my two observations... other than these two preferences, I'm really impressed with how it sounds, and seems to perform. I'm anxious to test it out in a friends car, to see if it's possible to just live with the non-angle of it all we'll see...

I've seen the reviews and have heard impressions of people testing them and i'm convinced that this will be my shifter of choice. The price will be just right for me and in direct competition with the other shifters (i'm not talking about the advertised price ).
