MGW Owners...

I think I've decided to get this shifter...I've driven a few cars with the Tri-Ax and liked the spring loaded 2-3 feature. I've heard that MGW has just as good (if not better) build quality but I was wondering if any of you still have problems with the 2-3?

I guess my question is, "Will this shifter give me same satisfaction as the 2-3 on a Tri-Ax? Better? Same chance as catching 3rd with stock, only shorter? etc

2-3 shift is a breeze. You'll never miss even if your drunk. Not that I tried or anything. The build quality is excellent and it looks good. It looks so good you might not want to put the boot back on. A good choice for a shifter.

Oh yes, you'll get alot of satisfaction. No problems with 2-3 shifts.

I love mine. 2-3 is easy. It is much quiter then the Tri and like said before it is nice enough to not put the boot on

I would definatley agree 2-3 is a breeze. Would not buy another shifter, even though I have never tried the Tri-Ax or the Pro 5.0, but MGW is the way to go I love it, I would never get rid of it.

The MGW may not be spring-loaded like the Tri-Ax, but the centering spring is strong enough that it gives the same basic effect. If you push the stick forward from 2nd, it goes right into 3rd. You have to use a lot more sideways force to hit 1st or 5th.

The feel of the shifts are very positive -- more like flipping a toggle switch than anything. I love it. The MGW rocks.

edit: shipping was only 3 days from placing the order to delivery in NH.

have had mine for a week and i love it...2-3 is a no brainer, but then i never had a miss with stock either. i also really like the feel of the mgw. ive got the cruiser handle.

i have the red handle, not too short, not too long

Love the MGW. Shortest shifts imagniable! My friend with a Lexus IS300 said shifting my car from 1-2nd was like shiftering his car from 1st to nuetral. The shifts are strong and confident, I love it. My other friend would put it in the gears, and he would never trust that it was in gear b/c he never drove in a car with a short throw before and said the shifts were so short he didn't believe the car was actually in gear.

Shipping took me three days as well.

I was debating between the Tri-ax (because im a HUGE Steeda fan) or the MGW shifter, and I just said f u c k it, and I just bought the MGW Blue handle (I'm a "sportsman" ), I suggest you do the same.

Just got the shifter in the mail yesterday

I ordered on Wednesday before lunch time and it arrived on Friday, FRIGGIN AWESOME! I'm going to install it this afternoon so I'll be sure to get some "stock vs MGW" pics for you guys. I figure that it might be helpful to have some comparision pics for people still wondering if it's the shifter for them.

I'll make a new thread with pics on monday morning...can't wait to test out Jasmine's first mod

How is the 1st to 2nd gear shift. I always seem to get this crunch with my tri ax and my stocker until the car warms up to operating temp on my TR3650

Same crunch here if its cold out.Once the car warms up its nice.Kinda embarasing if people see you grind second. i got the tri ax on my 97 gt. Tri ax owners come out and tell if you grind 1-2 getting on it good.

That has to do with the crappy TR-3650 Tranny from Ford, it has nothin to do with the shifter lol
