Well i just got my car back and its pretty great. I have had this MGW shifter riding around with me in my truck for like 4 weeks. Its time to go to its home so someone help me get it there. (Shifter) Are you too good for your home? Answer me!

I left the directions at my work and although this is very straight forward, my q's are about its stoppers. Since I have a viper spec t56 from D&D, I believe the stoppers are supposed to be deleted. If I remember correctly the directions said to remove the stoppers b/c t56's have internal stoppers inside. I want this thing put in NOW so please help a brother out. I want to make sure so that I dont damage anything. I will be leaving my house early to go to Epping NH and dragrace the ***** out of it.

Please help me,
-Fawcett

I can't help you ..... but I do know that I've seen some guys that have TKO500/TKO600 tranny's (with built in stoppers) use aftermarket shifter stoppers. I don't know if it will hurt you on the T-56, though.

Remove the stoppers. You should not (and do not need to) use them on the T-56.

I think you will enjoy the MGW shifter -- it is easily the quietest T-56 shifter that I've ever [not] heard. And the centering spring is very, very tight, so missing 3rd is next to impossible.

Yeah same question here the aftermarket shifter i see for the TKO-500/600 have stops on them too, but i was under the impression they had internal stops too.

got the shifter in in like no time. its much better than what i had before- a stock t56 shifter with a steeda triax handle. not that it was too bad, its just that my shifts are much closer and i really like the way its designed. it is much quieter than my stock shifter, my triax shifter (on the t5) and the one that came with my t56.

i still wonder why they make stops on their t56 shifters if they come with instructions to remove them... why wouldnt it just come with out stops if its designed for a trany with internal stops? i threw mine out so i may be screwed if their needed. either way im racing it for the first time this summer tomorrow (weather permitting) and sunday and i cant wait.

if anyone can answer these questions i would be much more at ease. if i ruine this tranny im gonna have to call it quits.
