I'm in the market for a new shifter and I thought I'd try the MGW.
I read some great reviews and I'd like to know from the ones that have one where did you purchase it and for how much $$ ?
Thanks

I can't advise on the MGW, but I still swear by the Pro 5.0....i just put one on my Tremec and it's literally the shortest throw i've ever felt. Also the neutral centering springs are super strong (and this one is even used). I don't see how anyone could miss 3rd with one since you just push up from 2nd and it literally centers and goes right into 3rd every time. I'm sure some of the MGW lover crowd will chime in.

Got one in my '93 T-5 and one in my '95 TKO-600. I absolutely love them, nice, short, crisp shifts and they feel solid as a rock. The '93 had a crappy B&M in it before, and the difference was night and day.

I'm sure, though, that you couldn't go wrong with a pro 5.0 or tri-ax. They're both reputable and have their fans. Hopefully somebody who's tried more than one will chime in.

i wish i could have felt the stock shifter in a 5.0. when i bought my car, it had a pro 5.0 in it already. i dont have anything to compare it to. i have no real complaints, but one of the bolts that holds the upper part of the shifter handle to the lower part just snapped on me. left me with a soggy noodle for a shifter. not a big deal, easy to fix. other than that, i think the pro 5.0 is great. best feeling shifts i've ever dealt with in any car...

I've also got a lot of driving time with the TriAx and although i've heard people had issues with them, it shifted really well also. Still, there's something so solid feeling about the Pro 5.0 that i really like that i haven't felt with any other shifter.

If the MGW didn't have that funky arm attachment system i might be more inclined to check it out. I guess that's extra adjustments and that's the big appeal, but i'm so used to my custom arm that it really wouldn't do me any good to switch. Once you get past the arm thing, it's just another shifter and like someone said there's a lot of good shifters out there.

I think you can only buy it from MGW LTD..

I installed one on my '89 and it's a really well made piece. Feels very solid and the shifts are noticeably shorter. The adjustable handle angle (I had the orange handle) is a nice feature as well. The install sucks though, the entire center console has to come out and some of the screws around my shifter boot were rusted and the clips that secure them on the underside of the car broke. It was a major PITA and that's the only reason I haven't installed one on my '93. It's not the product's fault that the foxes have minimal access to the shifter though:p
