Cincinnati, Oh
My car can sit for long periods of time and it seems that some mice have taken up residence in my 65 and do not pay rent!

Is there anything I can do to deter them from hanging around? I do not want to poison for fear they will die in the car somewhere. I actually heard some fierce chewing sounds coming from above my new headliner and the roof of the car! Either he's chewing a hole to get out or builiding a nest...

Is there something that I can place in the car that will keep them from hanging around? I've heard moth balls?

Thanks for the help...

Moth balls, some sonic sound type emitting devices.

Best thing you can do is to have a cat live in the car (or around) for awhile. Mice move out when cats move in.

Also, put lots of traps around to catch the mice (even after you get ride of this group of them).

Ive heard that mothballs (like runaway said) and Ive also been told that putting a couple of fabric softener sheets in the car will work.

Unless you have kids or pets on the shop, buy a bunch of D-Con and leave it under and inside the car during storage. The rodents will likely die in the car if you leave the boxes inside, but I'd rather find dead mice than live ones.

Little bastards chewed a hole through my original and perfect condition headliner 2 years ago. Pisses me off :Damnit:

I am going to try the mothballs inside the car and decon outside this year when I put it up. I still haven't replaced the headliner because I really don't want to pull the front and rear glass, forget about the price to install...
