Mickey Thompsons

Hey, I would like to order some mickey Thompson's soon so I can cut off some time at the track. My car has basically all the boltons. Last time at the track I ran a 13.8 but I couldnt get a good launch on the nittos. Well, Im not sure which tires to get for the track:shrug: Mickey Thompson ET streets or ET street radials:shrug: I know they both hook, but for my powerlevel what you you guys recommend? Thanks:nice:

If you are going to be doing any regular driving on the street then go with the radials. If it is a track car, or you can change the tires at the track then I would go with the ET Streets.

I have the MT radials on my 93 and they're a great tire. Not to fond the rain but as long as you don't run through any big puddles they're not too bad.

M/T Drag Radials FTW! :nice:

I have a set on my 68 and they aren't that bad in the rain...........if you keep it around 55 or so.

Cool thanks for the input. I have an extra set of rims i was going to mount these on and only use them at the track, NO street use at all, my nittos are fine on the street. I just want to make sure if i get the radials they will hook with a 5000rpm launch

I'm not sure how you guys are getting around in the rain but I was sliding all over the place just trying to keep the car on the road at 30 mph with my et street radials.

if your not using them on the street and it is a stick car, the ET streets are the good choice.

hang it off the rev limiter and let us know how it goes...

I have a spool and new trans for sale, PM me after first WOT launch on your new e/t streets, prolly could dig up an axel as well

serious note, my MT's radials put the Nitto's tripple nickels to shame

NO index for that class. My friend made the rules, it is a stick shift, pro tree bracket class... Let me grab the rules off our site and post them in another thread. My brother, father, myself and a few friends will be running it.

:D

How wide are your tires? The skinny 235's I'm running have no problem cutting through the rain. I haven't yet been caught in a downpour...so I would expect far worse results if/when I do.
