Well, the weather has been getting fairly decent, and I am feeling a bit jealous of the northern half of the NW forum people.

So, anyone in the Eugene/Springfield or surrounding areas want to meet up?

any suggestions on when and where?

My cars are all non-running at the moment. So I will be cruising in the econo-box until at least late summer.

Unless everyone wants to get together and piece together a couple of classic ponies

I'm in...

The Friday night meets at Brooks Auto Parts in Glenwood might be a good place, then cruise over to Finns Drive in in Spfld after. The meets at Brooks have been lacking in Ponycar representation so a few more Mustangs would be good.

But just about anywhere anytime works for me.

I know I mentioned most of this in my previous post but I'll summarize here:

It's at the Brook Auto Parts parking lot in Glenwood. People start showing up around 6PM. Usually quite a varied assortment of cars and it's just a very casual GTG. It usually starts going strong about this time of year and takes place pretty much every Friday all spring and summer long. When the weather cooperates I've seen the parking lot totally fill up by 7PM (75 cars or so). It's probably not a bad idea to throw something to sit on in your trunk (camp stool, lawn chair or similar).

Some folks hang out there for a few hours and then cruise a couple of miles east to Finns drive in in Springfield.

I'll try to hit that up sometime soon. I am from Beaverton originally and miss the nights at starbucks with the guys from up north. It's nice to finally hear about similar gatherings in this area. Thanks!

I might try to talk a buddy into going up with me. So, if you see a big goofy looking sob in a blue duster then its me.

If he does not go, then look for the big goofy guy in a teal honda that has a cracked windshield and leaky radiator. Well that will be me to.

My Bad - the official Friday night meets at Brooks Auto Parts don't start this year until the first Friday after Memorial Day - June 3rd.

If we wanted to set up a GTG prior to then, we could set up a meet at Finns Drive in in Springfield - there always seems to be a few Hotrods hanging out there on a Friday or Saturday night.

I-5 exit 194 (I think) to I-105 East. Go east on I-105 about 4 miles to the 42nd Street exit. Exit there and go south on 42nd street about 1.5 miles to the stoplight at 42nd and Main Street. Turn right on Main Street and start looking on the north side of the street for Fins Drive In. The address is 4090 Main Street.

As far as a time, I'm open. We also need to decide on Friday or Saturday.

It's time to finally get together.

Friday at 5:30pm or so at Brooks Auto Parts parking lot in Glenwood (3331 Franklin Blvd - between Eugene and Springfield). Lots of cars, but we need more Stangs.


Directions - I-5 exit 191. North approx 1 mile to Franklin Blvd. Turn Left 1/8 mile. Look on south side of street for Brooks sign. Mapquest here

hey Guys???? Any of you going to the river road cruise in at lone pine this saterday? Or heading to hillsbro for the ford thing? Thanks hungerymoney for trying to start something down here I was getting a little disappointed with this half of the state! Oh I went to graffiti alley and the guy their said to check into johns landscaping??? for a stang club in the area. I haven't yet but maybe there is still hope!
