Mid pipe help with long tubes?

I know that a o/r mid pipe can be worth anywhere from 5 to 20 hp depending on application but I was wondering if the gain would go down dramatically when installed on a car with long tubes already?

my car has mac long tubes..but the mid pipe is straight pipes with cats to the mufflers...I know this killing some power ...but I was wondering if I would really see any gains since I already have long tubes? I will be getting a mac o.r h pipe

maybe 5hp. I would do it just because it makes the exhaust louder.

I would just take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld in a connector pipe.

..sounds like an idea..but the cats in my current pipe are bad..and rattle real bad.

Dr. Gas sells X pipes for BBK and MAC longtubes. A crossover pipe is going to help exhaust scavenging but its hard to tell how much power you will get from it
