Hi,
While replacing the catback I couldn't get the nut off the stud which connects catback and catalytic converter. So the stud had to be cut off. I have bolts now instead. Is it ok to replace studs with bolts ?

Thanks

Short answer is "yes". Place a washer under the bolt head. Make sure the bolt has enough thread to pull the flanges together...too much unthreaded bolt shoulder will impact your ability to close the gap. Studs are used to make pipe alignments quicker and easier...you may notice that as you proceed.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the threads are adequate to keep it as close as I want. And the bolt head is big enough. I already put it on but yes, washer would have been a good idea.
