it makes sense...i'd actually like a newer stang too. Something more practical to drive, modded or not they are more comfortable

What? I dont know why you think the newer ones are more comfy. I own a 87 GT, and 03 GT. Id much rather be in the 87 than the 03 most of the time. Im only 5'7", and the 03 feels like a sardene (sp?) can to me. I have to literally roll out of it. The 87 I can sit down in, and get up out of. Not to mention finding a good seating position in the 03 is hard with that laid back windshield. I feel so confined in that car. Now its more refined inside than the 87, but heck to me any pony/muscle car type of cars should be bit on the humble side. More grunt than plush if you know what I mean.

If you wanted something that was worth more, which is what you are saying then why didn't you go for the Beemer?

Beemer looked real good, but it was auto, and that would suck all the fun out of it, plus the really small engine. If you wanted money to get a better Stang that would have been the way to go though!

very true....i think it has to do with my non-tilt wheel....my old 94 could be very comfortable, even though im 6'. The 94 also has a better arm-rest lol

my biggest complaint with the 03 is the door panels. theyre so thick compared to the paper thin 87 ones. thats what makes ME feel squashed in the car. and im no large person. im only 165lbs. now my buddy whos 6'4" 245lbs cant get in the 03 and shut the drivers door. it bounces off his leg. LOL

Take it from someone who regularly drives a fox (or 3) and an SN car. The SN car even with high mileage feels a LOT better than the foxes we have. Quiter, smoother, more comfortable and you still get the modability of the 5.0...

Personally I would do it!

Umm my friend Ricky is 6'5" 250-260 or so, and he has NO issues driving his 03 (twin turbo car). He sets the seat back and fits fine!

i gotta say I love foxes and the 94-95 (with original tail lights) and for me it would be an easy decision as I would love to stuff my 351W into the 94-95. But my fox is nowhere as nice looking as your 86 is plus you have a 4 eye. tough choice so I feel ya on that one. it sounds like you will regret your trade though. I know I have considered trading my but once I go out to the garage and see it I can't do it. LIke said before, I would rather drive a slow fox than a fast f body.

Looks like a nice car, just needs some springs. I dont know if I would make the trade unless you didnt care about going from something fast to something not so fast, I would trade my car for it but if I had yours I would have to think about it.
