after I check it over and fix a few things I might safety it and insure it....I would like to know if there any free or cheap easy mods to do to it for a little extra power...I am a mechanic so not scared to get down and dirty with it. Let me know if you have any thoughts what I could do.

I wouldnt mess with it any, pretty much all the boltons do nothing, now if you wanted to make some hp, port the intakes, head, and put a longtube on it(lol) and put an esslinger cam in it, or a ranger cam. other than that your wasting your time in my eyes, you already have a nice gt.

even with porting the heads and a new cam you arent going to see a lot of improvement. drop a turbo motor in and start making some real #'s

NEW PLAN....Buy N2o for the GT...install it as a dry kit on the 4cyl lol....when it blows up drop in a 351W

My boss is a huge fan of N20 and he says if we do it right it should take a 75 shot for a good while.

Rev the engine to 6000 RPM and drop the clutch, then you have some reason to put a better motor in. if that doesn't do it take all the oil out and try again

These cars make for nice daily drivers but it wouldn't hurt to do a few mods. It seems pointless but every little bit helps...exspecaily running an automatic gear box. As for the bottle, some guy ran a 100 shot on his N/A 2.3L. The motor blew a head gasket around the second bottle. I'm pretty sure this was a dry kit as well. Anyhow, I would do a cam swap along with exhaust and run a 75 shot. Trust me, you'll wish you had done it the first time you pull up next to some Cocky ricer with out your GT. This used to happen to me all the time. Now my daily driver is supercharged and my weekend car is turbocharged

I have a 351W from a 78 ford truck that I got for free...last year lol but I plan on slowly rebuilding it with new good parts and putting that in with a build C4..but that won't be for at least a year so I mite as well drive it as a 4 banger for a while. a 75 shot will be nice with the cam and a header..maby some quiet 2" exhaust

Yes sir, you would surprize a lot of people with that car.

I'm guessing you'll be around the 175hp range which is what an SVO is rated stock. You may want to do some work on the suspenssion as well. You'll need it if and when you do swap that 351W.
