Might trade my 4.6 for a 347 Stroker...

if its not a sportsman block I wouldnt do it , because it sounds to me like its at the point where any strain would crack the block since the stock blocks are notorious for that , I wouldnt do it , do a headswap on your car and KB or spray and you will be far better off .

Crash please don't listen to 2002BLGT because he's a
crackhead that doesn't know 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' about 5.0's! Crash I think the
94 GT your looking at has a great set up I must say! The Keith
Black 347 Hyperetic pistons are strong pistons that will take the
abuse. The Typhoon Intake is a great match with the AirFlow
Research 165 aluminum heads you will get good numbers with
this set up.I say if your not going to do a IP headswap sell your
98 GT and get the 94GT.

Yeah OK , I have seen more split down the middle of the block at 400 hp at the fly than i can count and they were all tune right too . but whatever man , stock rods and crank will blow out quick too LOL . go ahead and trade , usually if something sounds too good to be true , IT IS .

Would it be even better if I upgraded to AFR 185 or 205 heads? Also, I like this car because it's more economically feasible than a complete headswap for me right now. Even if I were to go with a new block, and pick up a new rods and crankshaft, it would probably still be more affordable. Thanks.

No offense, but because one is keeping together does not mean that all combos will. I can show you a 600rwhp 4.6 4V stock bottom en that took the abuse for over 2 years before giving up the ghost, and show you many that gave it up at 450rwhp, so your point is moot.

Bottom line, is 500rwhp is as close as you want to get with a standard block or else risk it cracking down the middle.

Bone Racing . . . LOL! You are so correct.

DOHC 324 stroker. Way more power potential.

I know that has tons of potential and that's what I want to do eventually, but as of right now I can't afford to built one right. I have the plans pretty much laid out for it when I can afford it, I know exactly what parts and what companies I'm going to go with, it's just that, for now, and probably as long as I'm still in school, I need something a little less expensive, but still powerful. Believe me, I've dreamed about the engine many, many times. BTW, the guy with the car just dropped the price by $500. Thanks.
