MIL Eliminator

It might pass as long as they don't look for cats. What do you guys think?

I can tell you that my car passed a few weeks ago. I have chip that corrects my MIL. Anyway, they didn’t look a my exhaust. They just hooked up their computer to my car’s computer under the steering wheel. 30 seconds later I was on my way. I think the Ford has stricter emissions tolerences then the my town does. The Bassani X-pipe triggered my MIL within 100 miles of installing it. The X-pipe does not meet Ford’s emissions requirements, but it will likely allow you to pass your local emissions test. The MIL eliminators won’t do anything for your emissions, they just eliminate the MIL on your dashboard. That’s a good thing to get rid of before you get tested. I am sure a MIL would trigger the testing facility to look into your car with more detail.

My bad, I can't type this morning or read correctly. I noticed you wanted to pass with an o/r pipe. I doubt you would pass. MIL's won't help. You need cats.

Im sure if they put a tester in the exhaust, your car wouldn't pass. I have never tested an OBDII car, but i heard they just plug into your computer and since being OBDII it has a sensor for just about everything on the damn car. lol Such as your rear O2 sensors checking to see if your cat converters work. The MIL's Eliminators changing the voltage (or whatever) reading to the computer to make it think that the cats are present and working fine. It would sure be nice if it would pass with the o/r pipe on there. Cuz I've got a mac O/R H pipe, its too much work to change it to do emissions if you ask me lol

As Turbo said, if they only pull codes (i.e. no visual test and no sniffer), then you will pass with mil elims (b/c there won't be any trips stored on the computer).

I think he would pass with highflow catted pipe even with the sniffer test. The highflow cats do help to eliminate emissions. However, I can't say for sure, because they never actually tested my exhaust, only my computer. I swear I read in the past that other's have passed with aftermarket catted pipes during the sniffer test.
