MIL eliminator(s) gone bad? "Service engine soon" light is ON again

Hi all. More then 2 years ago i put two mil eliminators (same as these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8015413246) on my Bassani catted X-pipe. The light has been off ever since. Just two weeks ago the light came back on... I checked the computer read out, appears to be o2 code.

So did my MIL E's go bad after all this time? Has anyone had theirs fail? Is there a way to check which one? Any other solutions except for buying a new set?

uhm... why would i do that? for the price of xcal2 i can get 10 MIL eliminators

Are you positive it's your MILs making the code fly and not something else?

I hear you, it's a great device, but the price is out of my range right now... the cheapest i could find on ebay was like $300-350... Vs. a set of 40 dollar MIL eliminators

What i want to know right now though is if there are people that have had their MIL elims fail? Is there a way to check which one? And is it a common thing?

Not positive - i didnt replace them when i took the reading, but if i am not mistaken i was getting same code i was getting years ago when i just put the x-pipe on.
The only way to check that is to take a reading before and after the MILEs are in right?

Yes, but did you reset the PCM (by disconnecting the battery) before/after the swap? That is one way to clear codes that exist.

The swap took place more then 3 years ago... it's been fine ever since until two weeks ago. I will try to reset the PCM, but i have a feeling that after a few days/miles the MIL will light up again.

It's possible you could have a front o2 that is bad, if it were three years ago. OR, the connection for your MILs has gotten corroded over the years, due to moisture and dirt beneath the car. Just my thoughts.

I was replacing mine almost yearly....they do go bad...now I just have it in my chip to keep them off for those codes....I would check though to make sure it isn't something else...
