Confirm the problem only happens in cylinder #2. What is the condition of the #2 and #6 spark plug? Try swapping #2 and #6 at the coil pack to see if the misfire moves to a different cylinder.

As a reminder, the V6 coil pack cylinder pairing is 5-1,3-4,2-6.

Try this old racer's trick. Run the car in a totally dark location. Look for the blue hue indicating arcing. Inspect the spark plug wires for white spots which is evidence of arcing. The routing of the spark plug wires is important. Are the factory stand offs and loams in place? Is number two touching anything metal or routed in long parallel runs with other spark plug wires?

Don't cut corners on the spark plug wire arcing angle. I have helped several V6 users recently with misfires on #2. They swore that the wires were routed correctly. When asked to post a picture of their engine bay, within seconds it was obvious that the wires were touching various metal parts. One guy even used bread ties to "dress" the wires together through the entire length of the run.

Consider buying/renting a set of "noid" style test lights. Place across each injector to confirm that the injector is firing.

What were the results of the compression test?
