I just rebuilt the engine in my 86 and went back with the TFS top end kit. The car never has ran right and I have replaced all of the following (all sensors...even MAF, new distributor, plugs, wires, rotor, cap) It has a Cobra computer with 24lb injectors and matching MAF. It has no codes and ALWAYS passes the cylinder balance test. I have looked for plug wire arching at night and there is none. The car runs fine below 4k rpm but as soon as you hit 4k it will miss really bad. I pulled the plugs and there is obviously something wrong with number 7. Here is 5-8. Five on the left and eight on the right. What do you think??? Fuel foul...oil foul...???? What I can't understand is it only does it above 4k. It will do it driving or free reving above 4k.
Missing above 4k...have plug pics...help!

put the stock 19's back in with the original maf, and gap all the plugs to .040 and check the tfi module sounds like it could be fubar, you can take it to autozone and they will test it, also make sure its warm while testing. check the plug wires, and make sure they arnet burnt all up and also look for vacuum leaks...
