Does it have an aftermarket cam or not? If is is a stock cam you are having idleling issues could just be sensors like your IAC or TPS. Sometimes its as simple as a vacuum leak.
What are more symptoms other than what you mentioned.

Hook up a vacuum gauge. Do a compression test. Clean the MAF/IAT sensors. Check all spark plugs. See if any are running rich/lean. Do you smell fuel under the hood at all?

Also try, just for the hell of it, putting the old air intake setup back on. Could be your computer doesnt like the new positioning of the MAF.

Could be that the MAF sensor itself has just pooped on you. I had tried many different MAFs when mine was acting up all with the same sensor and nothing helped. Then I switched the actual sensor and it was fine. And yes, I did clean the problematic one...several times with electronics cleaner. Like everything else on a car, they go bad at some point.
