missing and then knocking

I have an 89, has a 347 stroker w HCI. When I start it up it backfires, real little but noticible and then starts knocking right away! new plugs, but the wires are a little old, the timing is set at 12 degrees, it ran ok before, but it started to not have much power in between 2 and 3 rpms it felt like it would kinda bog. then i let it sit for a few days and when I started it back up, and it was knocking ugly!! any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Does it miss and act up more when it is hot than when it is cold?

Knocking- is it a pinging, rattling sound like shaking BB's in a tin can or more of a thud?

its more of a thud! really loud.I didnt let it warm up. it was a cold start i turned it off cause it knocked right away!

does it sound like its coming from the bottom end? rod maybe?

Do you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge? If so, what is the oil pressure when you hear the noise?

Sounds like someone is under there beating it with a hammer, id pin point it where the sound is coming from with an automotive stethoscope and go from there.

It may just be the Video and the panning of the camera/mic but that sounds WAY too intermittent to be a rod knock.. sounds more like something is loose.. maybe start with the miss and obvious reasons for that - they could be related.
