I was looking at their clutch cable adjustment write up (which doesn't fully work for me, the dohc valve covers are really close to where the cable goes thought the firewall and leaves no adjustment, I had to use a grinder to cut the old one out) and saw the pedal adjustment kit.

Sucks I just found it, I had the pedal box out of car a couple weeks ago. I have long legs and have always thought I had to come up too far for the clutch. I read the manual, but I'm still not grasping the concept of how it works, though at $20, I'll just buy it and find out.

Clutch Pedal Height Adjuster, 1982-93

Anyone use it?

This image pretty much tells the story:

The adjuster goes over the square crank allowing the square hole in the OEM pedal to rotate around the crank.

When it's installed, it allows you to moved the pedal forward or backward. Once you get it where you want it, you torque a bolt and nut through the [not square] hole to lock them together.

Adjust your cable/FW adjuster accordingly.

I bought one awhile back and I have not installed it. I’m glad you jogged my memory. The clutch pedal placement does seem so different than the brake and gas, tall or not.

I actually tried to buy one, the MM shipping calculator told me $13.10. Which is most likely high for the most basic shipping for something of this size, but livable. It's like $10 for a priority flat rate at the post office in this size, i bet it could go in a priorty padded envelope too for even less.

Then when I i tried to check out it was $19.10 for shipping.

I guess i will hold out for an LMR order (where it's $5 more), then buy one.
I don't mind paying up for a product, but getting shipping gouged sucks.

That's almost every online company any more automated shipping calculators are crazy now. EBay spits out $100 shipping cost for me on thier estimates when its usually around $25 max based on weight and dimensions. Pedal height doesnt bother me as much as spacing on these cars, I need one that makes them wider with my big azz feet.

the change came with the coming of Disc brakes.... 4 wheel drum brakes had both the brake and clutch the same distance.....

Just an update.
I called MM about the shipping. They are aware of the automated shipping calculation issue.
Super nice about it.
I bought it over the phone for $25 shipped.
Just another reason i swear by using them.
With that said, it won't ship until the 8th of next month.

I didn't see the extra $5 you mentioned.

I may not have made it past an internet search for the part number.
Must be old cached links.
CJ pony was $25 too.

Yeah, I actually put it into the cart to check and see what it would be out-the-door.
