I'm getting ready to order up some parts for upgrading my car in May. I've wanted to do the MM panhard bar install for a long time and I'm finally going to pull the trigger. Has anyone done that install with a Flowmaster cat-back before (either 17112 of 17212 American thunder systems)? Does the MM bar really clear the Flowmaster exhaust pipes? Their web site says that it's compatible with Flowmaster systems made after 2000 or the stock exhaust. I'm mainly asking so that I know what I'm in for when this fun project starts. If I'm going to have to start cutting and splicing the exhaust, I would rather know this in advance rather than be surprised and not plan the extra time required. I would really appreciate hearing from someone who's actually done the install, and I would also appreciate any other tips or "heads-up" advice that you can provide.

Thank you =)

My 94 GT has MM panhard bar with magnaflow mufflers and stock tail pipes and 295-35-18's in the back and there's almost no room and even still under hard cornering the tires rub the tail pipes. If your tires are smaller you'll have more room to adjust your pipes to fit without hitting.

Thank a million for the input. That's a big concern and makes sense with the lower roll center. I'm rumming 255/45's right now.

BTW: What does your car run in the 1/4? That sounds like a great setup.

I have the MM PHB and Flowmaster Force II cat back. I have run 255/45 Hoosier A6 (for autox) and currently have 255/40 Direzza's on the car. You will need to adjust the pipes; but they fit. I also run HPDEs and have had no problems. The PHB was a tremendous help with keeping the rear wheels from floating. Occaisionally (1x/yr) I need to readjust the exhaust to keep it from hitting the PHB. I did have to replace a rubber hanger above the driver side exhaust to raise it as the old one was worn out. Short answer: yea they fit.
