mods for 17x9.5" rears on a '67?

I saw a '67 on friday with 235s and 17x8 and it was hitting the rear wheel lip the guy said. Obviously I need to roll the lip but what else do I need for 17x9.5" rear? did that guy just get the wrong offset or something? He had just bought it off his friend so he didn't seem to know much. thanks

I used to run 235s on my 65 with no problems at all and now run 275s. I'm useing 15s but the tires are as tall as most tires you run on 17s. I think he was useing the wrong backspacing.

get the backspcaing correct and you shouldn't have any trouble. Someone has a green fastback on here with all the details about what they did to fit them.

I have an entry on the chart in that size....or at least sitting in my bin waiting for me to get it on the chart. If the answer has not show up in 12 hours I will post back with those specifics when I am back at the house.
