Transmission cooler - this is a must have for the auto as heat is the number one killer of automatics. The 24,000 GVW from B&M is a pretty good one. I use the one from Steeda and its pretty good too.

Torque converter - anything less than 2800 stall is a waste IMHO. I have one with a 3k stall and it works great. Go to www.houstonperformance.com to get one. They are probably cheaper than anyone else and Steve Drier will be happy to help you. I paid 714 for mine shipped to the door.

Jerry mod shift kit - best shift kit for the 4r70w automatic transmission. It was designed by Jerry W. himself. It's safe and effective. Go to www.tccoa.com and read their transmissioni articles on the 4r70w transmission for more info.

Gears - No less than 4.10's for a n/a 99-04 GT. Go to www.stangstore.com and look up how cheap they have their gears for. They'll probably be cheaper than most others. You can also try Randy Stinchcomb over in the Ford Parts forum at www.modulardepot.com

I'm going to have 4.30 gears installed in my car soon along with the other "comming soon" mods I have listed in my signature.

They are the same thing. They call it a "stall converter" because it has a higher stall speed than factory. A stall and 4:10's might be dangerous to your tires because all you'll want to do at every light is a hole shot. A stall and gears in an auto are 10 times better than a stick and launch awsome.

Suspension is the base for all your other mods. Plus you get an immediate improvement in looks.

I think 410s are way to much gear if you are gona drive it daily. Im going 373s, valve body mod and a b/m ripper shifter

You have no idea... lol. I dropped .4 in the 1/4 from the converter alone. That was a consistent .4 as well. I'm looking to drop a few more tenths with a better launch next time out.

And to whoever said 4.10s are too much on a daily driven auto, you're absolutely incorrect. I still manage 18mpg city and 22mpg highway. I wouldn't want it any other way. At 78mph, i'm at 3000rpms. I'd go 4.30s if I wasn't broke.

Follow Dark Knight GT's list and you'll be 12s all day. I'm 13.0 with gears, converter, exhaust, and DRs right now.

I got the 3500 stall from Precision Industries. Cost me 714 shipped, the same as Dark Knights, through Houston Performance. I will be restalling to 4000 over summer, but my car is going to be more drag oriented.

I'd go anywhere from 3000-3500. It's perfect for street driving and a weekend drag racer.

Also, I have 238rwhp and 280rwtq (before c&l plenum and vrs x pipe).

I can't get it up......ok that didn't sound right.

What Racer GT has said is true too. Follow the list and you should be 12's all day. However, I dont see Racer GT in the 12's yet. Probably because he's realized he's never going to be the fastest n/a auto guy w/ bolt-ons on all the Mustang boards. Its going to be me.

Well, with everything thats in my sig including the "to come" parts, anyone should hit 12's. I'm going to give it all I got when I get the parts and I'm gonna show those five speed guys something...........that is after they hand me my ass and finally get lucky and beat them once.

Well, if I'm not mistaken for every 100lbs. heavier, you loose a tenth. Therefore, since you were only .03 hundreths away, all you would of needed was to be 3lbs lighter weight in your car and you would of had it. You telling me you can crap 3lbs.? Thats one heavy shlt lol. I hope you use double sheeted Charmin.

Seriously, why dont you just give it up along with BCH-SLP. You guys know once I get my parts in and get my wheels and slicks, you'll never beat me.

We shall see. I look forward to seeing some numbers out of your bucket. I'll be there right along side you the entire way, with less mods.

We may see if you can really stay side by side with me. Who knows, I might be making a trip to Missouri in not too long.
