Ya I gave in, I was gonna do headers cams and other basic bolt-ons to my GT but after I did the math, nickle and diming all those mods I might as whell just get a supercherger.. Ill make more power and it will be cheaper and easier to make power than staying N/A... I found the Mongoose Kit on MPH.. it comes with everything I need to make it work.. Now I just want to ask a few questions.. I will drive my car every day. How reliable will my car be?? And I will drive it in the winter will I be ok???

nice choice, what kit did you get vortech/paxton? daily drivability will be fine. With a centrifigal blower the power comes on in the upper rpm's so you can cruise it locally and not worry about really getting into the boost if you don't want to...same thing with winter..don't romp the gas pedal and it won't be a problem. I don't think they have a problem with cold weather but I don't live where there is severe winter either.

they are made by the same company actually
the vortech mongoose is cheaper, the novi2000 mongoose has the potential to make more power and crank out more boost. you should be good with the vortech...the key to long life with a stock engine is the tune...and MPH is very good so you shouldn't have a problem...eventually i would recommend upgrading to a forged shortblock but you will be ok for alittle while..

yea he means forged pistons, rods, crank. the mph kit is great from what i hear and is the one ill be going with. the blowers themselves will be prety much the same for youe needs. the paxton can be run up to about 27 lbs. of boost for race cars. that is why it is more expensive.

Your car will be fine. Tim's tune is very good, and my car idle's and drives better now than it did stock. Also, I'm getting ~ 22 mpg w/ the blower on.
