I need some help confirming what I am suspecting. Can someone give me a measurement of how wide their monte carlo bar is in a '67 or '68 coupe??
I think my shock towers have moved inward but am not sure.

fwiw .... went back and found an old thread where two of us measured 40 in -just in front of the shock towers where the bar would install (mine is a 67 FB, but should be same for CPE) .... inward movement is possible due to age and pounding of the front-end .... if you have a MC bar, jack up the car at the front and center of the frame cross-rail .... the weight of the stuff hanging outboard should help to get the towers to open up a tad ... hopefully enough to get a bar installed .... if it's too far gone, you may have to take more drastic measures .....

HTH and good luck !!

If it doesn't fit, find a friend or jeep owner with a highlift jack.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I took a measurement and only got 39 inches. Yet the shock towers are really solid.
