I saw this at the VARA race this past weekend. Keep in mind there is no class that this car is legal for.

The coolest thing I ever saw...

Looks like someone took a recent Trans-Am chassis, and re-skinned it with an older body...

Hmmmmmmmmmm........

it had better be really fast to justify the looks....but by the looks of things it likely is pretty fast. Definitley a serious ride....if that car won't go 200 mph it should be destroyed.

By the third lap it was starting on lap traffic. By the end of the race, it had lapped up to 7th place

if you get rid of the wing and the front spoiler it would look a lot better, but i guess looking good isn't what it was made for.

edit: fixed a type

i wonder if the car you posted is the finished product of this one

http://home.comcast.net/~wrheadle/w...-314714-Publish-t-makestatic-true-skip-5.html

there is a guy at www.corner-carvers.com named preston who has one that is even more over the top than this car

there is a class.

i think it qualifies for the super-rice class.

i especially love the 'ghetto-gold' rims. oops, sorry, guess their called 'dubs' or something queer like that.

uhhhh...sorry, i should have said: in my opinion, the wheels just add to the gayness.

i don't care if they are for racing. they still look gay. a pink dress may keep you warm, but are you going to wear it? maybe if it was the only thing you had to wear and you were stranded in the antarctic. but you're not, and there are better clothes to choose from.

you forgot to mention that wings have 'racing' value as well.

Classic example of your standard muscle-car meathead so used to crying "rice!" at everything that he doesn't recognize the real deal when he sees it.

That's not rice. That's a Mustang on steeroids. More and more of these modernized, trans-am inspired racecar/toys are being built every year and it just pushes the envelope of the hobby that much further. More power to them.

Does your 70b2 have 800+ hp and run the front stright at Willow Springs at 160+ mph, because then I would say yes, it needs the wing.
