Well, this week has been going extremely smooth. I had some problems at first with the A-arms but after i got the right ones sent to me from UPR I haven't had a problem.

Me and a friend got the new rearend put in early this week. Took an hour or so.

I decided to go ahead and put the motor and tranny in this week also. Once i got the tranny and motor hooked up to my engine hoist i put them in by myself in a matter of 15-20 min. It scared me how easiy it went and how everything lined up. (see if anybody ketches the one problem i had)

Well here some pics. (I need to turn the flash off the camera, everything comes up the wrong color and dirty looking)

Here's what your looking at:

Front suspension is a upr chromolly k-member kit which include coilovers a-arms and the k-member. I went with 90/10 lakewoods.

Rear suspension is just your ordinary aftermarket upper and lower control arms, And a YPS rear coil over kit. I went with 50/50 lakewoods ther.

The rear end is a 9" that i had Quick Performance make up for me. (saved a lot of money by going with QP having strange make me one and i was able to get it in the stock length) Has a virtually bullet proof center section, which has a detroit locker and 3.25 gears. The axles are moser 35 spline axles.

The motor is my 8.5:1 dart 427w with jegs/kaase heads (247cc intake runners) and my edelbrock EFI supervictor intake. All prepped and ready for my B&G twin pt-67 turbo kit.

The tranny and converter are from PTC. That tranny is a powerglide (gm 2 speed which were made in the 60's and early 70's). It has a J.W. case, bellhousing, flywheel, tailhousing. (Probably the strongest thing on the car)

Now that i have some things installed and out of my way i can finally get around to cleanning that mess i call my garage.

Tough call... I'm gonna go ahead and guess VC to break booster clearance. Either that or you ran out of beer half way through

Looks amazing, man. I can tell you pay alot of attention to details, seeing how the engine matches every part of the suspension

Its not the valve covers, Even though they need painted and a little bit notched out for clearence on the inside.

Before anybody guesses its not the block plate either. I haven't decided if i want to make a piece to cover the flywheel or not, but as it is i didn't use the standard one because that bellhousing doesn't require it unless i needed more of a gap beween the coverter and flywheel which i didn't and the starter seems to be spaced perfectly...

Give you a hint, you would have to compare the 3rd and 4th pic if it didn't stick out at you.

Got it... I put it in there once and the tranny was a 1/2" short from lining up with the crossmember slots. So i had to raise it back up and unbolt the motor mounts and swap sides. Put it in and it lined up perfectly.

BTW as far as most of the color scheme goes thats pure luck. I went with black and blue because those were the two colors that looked the best that por-15 offered. Everything else just came in to place. Luckly B&G only offers blue and black too.

So how do you like the UPR k-member & A-arms??
Did you happen to weigh the difference between the stock a-arm and the upr one? Im very curious to see what the weight savings is w/ just the a-arms.
