I'm probibly gonna get the kit, i found a shop to install it with a reason able price. I wanted to know what im going to need for it to run right. I was thinking a tune for sure. 24lb inj with mathcing maf and plugs. I got a tranny cooler in my tranny already and i have the Tq converter. Can the tranny take that power without breaking. its a rebuilt tranny with less than 2000 miles on it. Would i also have to install a new fuel pump and igntion stuff(distributor, coil, and wires) or if theres anything that iam missing i wuld defintly apperciate it thanx alot for your time guys. O and one more thing, would i get be able to get a mid to low 13 second pass with all this stuff and the part in my sig. thanx

Your auto should be ok, it all depends on how hard you are going to drive it. You said it was rebuilt, to stock specs or with aftermarket parts? That of course will also factor in to its longevity. I think a mid to low 13 second pass will be obtainable if you get your car tuned well.

A fuel pressure regulator would be a good idea as well while you are doing the other stuff, it will be useful when tuning.

Well if your worried about the T-5 holding up order one of these. They are just as good as a tremac for almost 1/2 the price and weight http://www.astroperformance.com/ peace

I had the best luck with my T-5.. It ran perfect with 135k miles on it until i start going for 10's. Then it just pitted some of the gears on the mainshaft and countershaft due to the pressure, which caused it to whine. Unless your not shifting propperly i would think a t-5 would last quite a long time in the 13's.

Now far as the auto. I still think it should be fine especially if you have a good converter in it.

You should be fine with that converter and a cooler.

Yeah, I've been drooling over the G Force's for a while now. Maybe in the next 6 months or so. . .

I know I'm not making a whole lot of power, but I like being hard on it and I'd rather not worry about the trans holding up.

well i got quoted for $1200 dollars for the whole kit installed and plugs and $ 600 for a chip and tune

Thats not that bad considering the amount of labor involved. but like said above i did not want to pay so i did it myself. I had never done anything this involved and it was easy. I took my time and was very meticulous and it fired right up, no problems when done. It is a fun learning experience plus you know you did it right and didnt skim on the details. But if i had the money i may have paid someone, but in the end im glad i did it myself.

I've got 63,000 on the original trans with a 2100/2300 stall and the epc valve turned a 1/2 turn and it hits "hard" no problem as of yet. You will surely need a tune. WE had to adjust the tps and from there I took it to a speed shop and had them put it on a laptop. She runs good. I had my problems with Trickflow at the beginning but I am happy that I went there.

well i dont want to change my tranny since i dumped a tq converter in it and my mom drives it once and a while. I just want nothing to go wrong with the car man, thats the only head ache about doing these kinds of projects. I have 70,000 miles on my car right now.

imo if you want as little headache as possible, keep the stock cam. you'll prolly leave about 15rwhp on the table, but you will have far less trouble with it idling and surging and stuff like that.
