Most of V8 swap complete READ THIS!!

lol this is hillaryass. mosty peeps want to know how to swap from a 4 to a 8. i think you have it backwards 351. it will be kinda cool i guess. glad to here the 351 is going into another car. btw probably a good idea to talk to a custom cam shop so as to get the max out of that little turbo'd 4.

Thats the whole point build em light and wine them tight. I have several 302's and a 4.6 and when i jumped behind the wheel of my now 90lx Turbo 4 i was like no way in HELL this is a 4-banger....half the motor half the weight and they rev quicker....if i dont hit 11's with mine im selling it. As for the cam im running a Esslinger 2277 cam kit...with a hogged out head from boport he made 436hp on the cam he sold me and the same port job pushing 22psi. Not to shabby for a lil light 4-banger...with a tubular K-member and A-Arms i would like to see what it weighs in at.
 
I'll be racing at sumerduck dragway in the culpeper area. I'm not sure when I'll be there for sure but I'll keep you updated. My game plan is to get it done, paint it, make a few dyno runs with more than one or two days to spare before we leave for St Louis.
Its funny, I go into town when people are racing and they will all run the lightnings or even the black car with 351. Everybody seems to shy away when I say I'm about done with the engine swap.

I did weigh the car but its still not 100% complete or 100% stripped yet. It weighed about 2420 without the turbo, tubing, hood or fluids but I still have the door beams in and a bunch of crap in the car including a few sets of calipers, axles etc.
Id like to see it at or less then 2600 with me...(I'm not very big) 130.

I also will post some pics of it on the prostars. It looks mean.
 
ya summerduck isnt to far from me just not big into the 1/8th mile....the 4cyl turbo feild is still like the new kid on the block......they just need a couple of good people like joe morgan etc...to come in and kill people using half the motor.The ford 2.3T are becoming popular because when i went to car hang out's and made my round about in my LX looking for a parking spot. Everyone one would come up wanting to see what it was and to open the hood. I just told it was all stock 2.3......it fooled some...other heard the turbo/ HKS SSQV and others say the drag radials.:nono: Im still gonna have a hell of a time in mine this summer even if it only has 4cyls.:D
