motor mount qusestion

i took off my motor mounts today and i noticed how big the holes are. is there a way im supposed to line the engine up when i drop it into the car?

It SHOULD self-align. The tear drop shaped holes allow yousome play when you're putting the motor in. Once installed, the mounts should settle all the way down to the thinnest portion of those holes. The pins in the mounts should also fall into the holes in the k-member.

hey i just put in headers in my 96 cobra and am having trouble lining up the driver side pin for the motor mount i have tried jacking the motor up in various places and starting the car even moving it back and forth in the driveway. any tips would be appreciated greatly
