The 351 mounts the same as the 289/302. No need to lower it.

I redrilled the existing mounts. I found new Anchor mounts at CSK, even made in the USA. They did have made in India mounts too. Those mounts were of thinner metal.
Everything went together very well. The engine seems to sit about a half inch lower and level.

I have read that alot of guys that did 351 swaps used the lowering mounts. I'm not sure why.

They use the lowering mounts with a 351 because the deck height is taller than a 289/302.

I used the TCP mounts and they worked great in my 67 with a 302 block.

Yeah, if you use a 351, and have a super-high rise intake, you can either cut a hole in the hood or lower the engine.
