MOTOR MOUNTS

Should I replace them with a solid one, Im doing a k-member and might as well do it, right? Should I avoid it, are there any negatives, will they improve anything. I only have bolt ons, no big horespower hear, although I do plan on doing turbo wihin the next year. Thanks!

I'd just do a poly mount... you have no need for solid motor mounts..

No. Solid mounts will vibrate the hell out of you. Just do poly motor mounts and a poly trans mount while you're at it. Also, if you're going turbo within the next year why are you putting LT's on the car?? Can't have both lol.

I would agree stay clear of solid motor mounts unless you are building a dedicated track car otherwise you will feel every single vibration from the engine through the car.

The car itself won't vibrate but in the driver seat you will feel every vibration from the engine because there is no longer anything insulation it from the rest of the car.

poly motor mounts FTW! I have them and let me tell you it feels much more solid, the motor doesn't shake as much and it makes for a much more comfortable ride...

I would stay away from solids on a street car. Poly would be better for you. The factory ones are pretty damn good themselves. I had a broken one (from an accident) for about 6 years on my car. I didn't even know it was broke until on day I saw a split in the rubber. I bought a new one from Ford for 29 dollars and installed it. Car acted the exact same. They can't come apart because the metal is criss-crossed and the rubber is molded in there.
