When I swaped ever thing over from my gt in to the notch i noticed the motor sat lower in the notch than it did in the gt. Has anybody else noticed this before. I use the same new motor mounts from the gt and everthing. Everthing cleared find, but i noticed that i could put a stock hood on the notch and not have any probablem with it hiting(1inch spacer) there is no way i could have ran my stock hood on the gt.

It shouldn't Nothing is different between the coupe or GT or a 4-banger for the matter. Same K-member, same inner fenders, same everything really.

don't the convertible engine mounts sit the engine a little lower? maybe it had some of those? ANyway there is NO difference in K-member between coupe and hatchback... The 'vert has some extra bracing though but it won't effect the engine position.

Maybe your state of intoxication changed from one car to the other?
