where have you guys mounted your MSD boxes? i would rather not mount it in the engine bay because i know a lot of guys who have fried them from water. i cant find a good spot inside to mount it...ideas? pics?

Most people mount them on the trans tunnel on the passenger side up under the dash.

I'm talking about ON the trans tunnel, like on the floor, but just as high up close to the dash as possible so it doesn't get kicked.

this is where i mounted mine. Isnt "ideal" but it works perfectly fine for me and its not in the way.

i know a lot of guys mount them in the hatch area (battery relocation) or under the drivers seat

It takes some effort, but if you pull the glove box out, you can wedge it up and behind it, totally hidden. We used to have to hide a lot of things, and have found some tricky ways to put stuff together.

There's plenty of room under the seats. That's where it's at in my 91.
