Ok I got an Autometer 1 1/2" fuel pressure gauge that I planned on mounting on the fuel rail for adjusting my AFPR. I ordered the Autometer fuel adapter, which is supposed to make it possible to mount a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail, but the adapter has two male ends, and the gauge has a male end as well. I'm supposed to mount the gauge on the fuel bleeder valve right? Can I just go to the hardware store and find a fitting that will connect the gauge to the bleeder or what? I don't want to have to order something cause the car is apart now and I am supposed to be putting in new H/C/I ASAP. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I wouldn't know why you couldn't buy an adapter. the gauge works off of the pressure in the line, so I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work. I would make sure that the fitting is a fuel fitting though. let us know how it works.

i posted in your thread in talk as well, but here's the scoop. I don't know why everyone is getting the wrong part number, but I called the summit tech line and they gave me Part number ATM-3280, it's like 8 bucks and has one male end and one female end...I used the adapter and can verify it's the one :nice: I searched all over for a fitting at hardware stores, auto stores, etc and no one had one, so save yourself some time and go w/ summit. By the way, you remove the schrader valve from the fuel line and the fitting screws into the line where the schrader valve was. Of course, relieve fuel pressure first (cover the valve w/ a rag and press the stem in).
