I'm curious if anyone has the mpg specs for the various gears. The website lists 17/26 for the manual tranny, but that is likely with the standard 3.31 gears. Anyone have information on the 3.55's and 3.73's?

i don't have the numbers, but after the first few days with my GT (3.73s), i'm looking at 16-18mpg combined... my commute to work is pretty stop and go, not much cruising speed.

w/ my 3.73's and a 5 speed w/ full exhasut, drop in filter and BAMA race tune i would see 23.4-24.2 on the highway.. meaning on very long extended trips, stayin around 70mph for hours

now, w/ the same stuc, but w/ my Vortech V3 intercooled blower I drove back from CAlifornia, and, beleive it or not, 3.73's, full exhaust, and an 11lb blower, with the same 70-8mph for hours on end I was between 21.9 and 23 the WHOLE RIDE BACK... I remeber when gears and a blower meant 10mpg or less..lol

But, to answer your question better, lol... The dealer said 3.31's will yield about 1mpg better than 3.55's and 2 better than 3.73's... HOW MUCH OF THAT BEING ACCURATE, I dont know.... but w/ my 3.31's then my 3.73's (as the only variables) I think the only reason i got worse milaege around town was cuz I was laying out ruber everywhere.. I DONT THINK THE MPG IS AT ALL SUBSTATIAL BETWEEN 3.31-3.55-3.73, It's just how u drive the car...

Based on the 3.73's, I'm guessing you are referring to the 2010's, so I'm not 100% on those, but I can give you my experience for the 2008's. I had the 3.55's, and I got as high as 30 MPG highway on a 280 mile trip going 70-75 mph. Around town would be 15-17 depending on driving style (sometimes less if I was really having fun), and my combined driving would net around 22 MPG. I had no other mods besides SLP Loudmouths - aka muffler deletes - and a K&N.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking at ordering a 2011 5.0 and trying to decide on which gear to go with. I was looking at the 3.55's, but was trying to get an idea on mpg before I jump on the 3.55's or 3.73's. As it doesn't appear to be much difference, I'll likely go 3.73's.

+1

But since I put fat tires on my car, I did notice about 1-2mpg drop in overall driving.
