MSD 6 BTM hook-up....how to???

i was wondering if anyone had a MSD 6 BTM install instructions...i just got mine in the mail today from Vibrant and i dont think there are instructions with it.

You need to get the install harness from Autometer. It makes the installation a snap and it only cost 15 bucks I think.

autometer? do you mean MSD? try summit


i have the directions from my MSD 6AL but i dunno how helpfull those would be

Mike, turn the MSD box over. It has a diagram right there. Like I mentioned before that MSD harness is $17.99 at Summit which makes the install about 10 minutes total. Red goes to the distribution box nut, black is ground and can bolt to anything, vacuum line goes to the bypass valve, plug on the far side gets connected to the retard dial, the other connector just leave zip tied. That's about it.

what or where is the bypass valve??

anyone have a pic?

i guess that's the thing i need to know...the rest is on the back....i didnt know where the vaccum line went...

See that black thing at the bottom left. There is a male nipple right there. Plug the vacuum line in there. That is the bypass valve.



The bypass assembly gets connected to the AFM power pipe. Your sig says you have one.

the black thing on the bottom left, the male nipple has something already plugged into it....maybe the boost gauge? im not sure where it goes...do i just make a splitter?
