Anyone running a rally pac and a MSD6_ ignition. How did you get the tach to work. I hooked it up as per what MSD said and still dont work. If it matters I have a 65 6000rpm tach. Thanks

same thing, you need the tach adapter from msd. those msd ignition tach outputs are good for nothing except high end autometer tachs and such. i dont really understand the point of them if they wont work with all tachs. but they sell and adapter to make it work with older style coil drive tachs like our cars. its gonna cost u like 30 dollars or so id imagine. even though msd says not too, ive seen people hook it up to the negative side of the coil still, although with a rally pack, i wouldnt chance it. it would be a expensive mistake if it didnt work

Im pretty sure they are more than that. For some reason I remember something like 50-60 bucks. I may be wrong though, its been a couple of years. With all my msd crap on my car i swear i have as much wiering as a new car. (ok maybe not)

Tom,

Let me know if it works. I have the exact same problem.

Can you give me the part # for the adapter so I can make sure to get the right one? Thanks.

YEP IT WORKS, You need part # MSD-8910 if you are use the MSD white wire for the trigger or the MSD-8920 if you use the magnetic trigger connector
